Surgery - Vasectomy, No-Scalpel Vasectomy, Circumcision etc.

One day surgery in our Clinic UroKlinikum:

Vasectomy

Priniciple vasectomy - No-Scalpel Vasectomy

Vasectomy is a simple surgical procedure used as a permanent form of male birth control.

Vasectomy is an ideal choice for couples who already have children.

In UroKlinikum our clients have the option of vasectomy in the form of outpatient procedure  lasting 30 to 40 minutes. The surgery is performed under local anesthesia in our operating room.

Performance  precedes a comprehensive urological examination lasting about 30 minutes.

After surgery

Limitations after surgery:

We recommend 24 hours of relative rest, but you should be able to work without significant restrictions later on.

Check after the performance:

After the vasectomy it is necessary to verify the effect of the procedure. The  spermiogram is recommended  within  5-6 weeks after the surgery  to confirm the absence of live sperm in the ejaculate. Until  then, another form of contraception during sexual intercourse is required.

A vasectomy won't affect your sex drive or ability to enjoy sex. You will still have erections and produce nearly the same amount of fluid (semen) when you ejaculate. The only difference is, that your semen won't contain sperm, which means that you can't get a woman pregnant.

Circumcision

The main indication for circumcision is the unability to freely retract the foreskin. This unability can cause a poor hygiene in this area and some dysfunction in sexual life.

Circumcision, the surgical removal of the foreskin that normally covers the head of the penis, is a relatively simple procedure.

During a circumcision, the foreskin is freed from the head of the penis (glans) and removed.

Superficial wound healing after circumcision generally takes 5 to 7 days.
Stitches usually spontaneously fall out within 10 to 14 days  after the surgery.
However, about 4 to 6 weeks are needed for the wound to heal fully.

Circumcision is performed under local anesthesia, but in some cases it may be performed under general anesthesia in a hospital.
